CandidVibe ("we", "us") connects people through authentic, camera-captured photos. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Account details: email address and display name.
• Profile content: photos (camera or upload), bio, age, gender, interests, and lifestyle answers.
• Activity: likes, maybes, matches, messages, community posts and reactions, and check-ins.
• Location: approximate location used for discovery, the live map, and community suggestions when enabled.
• Device: limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

3. How We Use Information

• To show you potential matches and personalize your discovery feed.
• To deliver messages, date proposals, and the notifications you enable.
• To power community features and surface local events and spots.
• To keep the platform safe through moderation, reporting, and anti-abuse measures.
• To improve features and comply with legal obligations.

4. Photos & Authenticity

Camera-captured photos are stored to support genuine first impressions. Uploaded photos may be temporary and expire as described in the app. We may review photos to enforce our content guidelines and protect members.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the service (e.g. infrastructure and email delivery), to investigate reports, or where required by law. Your approximate location is used to show nearby people and places, but precise coordinates are not displayed to other members.

6. Your Choices

• Manage location, notifications, faith mode, and privacy settings anytime in Settings.
• Block users from their profile or chat.
• Take a break to hide your profile from discovery.
• Delete your account at any time, which removes your profile, matches, and messages.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. Match history recycles after a set lifecycle, and inactive conversations may expire. When you delete your account, your data is removed as described above.

8. Children & Safety

CandidVibe is not for anyone under 18. We act on reports of underage users and other safety concerns, which may include removal and bans.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
